In diesem Kurs erlernen Sie die Grundlagen der Fachwerk-Bauweise. An sechs intensiven und inspirierenden Tagen erwerben Sie praktisches und theoretisches Wissen zum Fachwerkbau. Die verwendete Technik im Kurs wird „Square-Rule“sein. Wir verarbeiten Holz aus schwedischen Kiefernstämmen direkt aus dem Hälsingland.
Fachwerk ist eine Alternative zum herkömmlichen Holzrahmenbau. Mit traditionellen Methoden und Werkzeugen von Gränsfors Bruk lernen Sie im Kurs, Holz traditionell und nachhaltig zu verarbeiten. Sie erlernen die Grundlagen der Fachwerk-Bauweise in Theorie und Praxis.
Der Kurs findet in Gränsfors statt. Dort bauen Sie gemeinsam mit anderen Teilnehmern ein ca. 3 × 5 Meter großes Fachwerk-Haus, das och im Laufe des Kurses errichtet wird. Egal ob Anfänger oder mit orkenntnissen im Holzbau – in Gränsfors erhalten Sie in inspirierender
Atmosphäre einen einzigartigen Einblick in traditionelles Handwerk. Der Kurs wird vom erfahrenen Zimmermann Andreas Hipf geleitet.

We work with wood from logs of Swedish pine from the forests of Hälsingland. Timber frame houses are an alternative to traditional timbering for building houses. Using traditional methods and carving tools from Gränsfors Bruk, you will learn how to work with wood in a solid and sustainable way during the course. You will learn the basics of timber frame construction and techniques for joining and rising.
The course is held in Gränsfors where you will build timber frame house of approximately 3×5 meters together with other participants – with the goal that it will be erected during the course.
Regardless of whether you are a beginner or have some experience in wood construction, you will get a unique insight into the traditional craft in an inspiring environment in Gränsfors. The course is led by experienced carpenter Andreas Hipf.
Teaching is in Swedish, English and German depending on the number of course participants. The course takes place outdoors under cover in Gränsfors. Max 10-12 participants, depending on the composition.
Minimum number for implementation: 8 participants. Minimum age: 16 years.

Timber frame construction has long existed in practically every country. Over many years it has been refined in places such as Great Britain, Germany, and Japan, and has become a carpentry technique which, together with skilled craftspeople, has resulted in architectural masterpieces, both functional and aesthetic.
In this course you will learn how to build a timber frame house. No previous experience is required. Minimum age is 16 years. Instruction in English, Swedish, and German depending on the participants.
Bring a folding rule and pencil. Work boots with steel toes and reinforced soles recommended but not required. Heavy duty work clothing is also recommended.
